In an effort to take over even more aspects of our daily lives, Google has been adding many much-needed updates and new features to the Google Shopping tool for greater ease of use for both retailers and consumers. this post from Clix Marketing outlines a few of the biggest and most significant new features that will change the way you use Google Shopping. For one thing, Google Shopping has expanded their Local Inventory Ads program. This update is especially useful for retailers that have slightly different inventories offline than they do online, as they can still advertise their “in-store only” products on the platform and also have users directed to their nearest location to purchase the product in person. Google Shopping has also made some changes to their “buy now” option. While the purchase still occurs on Google’s platform, the charge is on a CPC basis, which helps eliminate unnecessary risk for advertisers. Additionally, there have been some changes made to the way that retailers can update their feeds, and have made things easier for retailers of all sizes. With all of these changes, Google Shopping is attempting to shift consumer shopping preference more towards mobile.
